From September 27th to October 18th, 2023, Banca Generali of Reggio Emilia presents Valerio Adami: Selected Drawings. The exhibition, curated by Alberto Navilli, aims to explore the lesser-known production of the Bolognese master, drawings, not so much as preparatory tools for paintings but rather as devices for storytelling and the processing of individual and collective memory. Amidst the crowded lines in pencil, the exhibition will thus narrate a reflective, literary, often autobiographical Adami: a different perspective on a master whose international fame ranks him among the most important Italian artists of the late 20th century. Accompanying the exhibition there will be a catalog, Valerio Adami: Selected Drawings, available in multiple languages, thanks to an editorial work curated by Alberto Navilli. Hosting approximately 400 drawings and watercolors, it serves as a generous visual diary of the artist and his recent years.
